Video: Dig Of The Day: Charles Bradley – Ain’t It A Sin (2013)
I was very pleasantly surprised when I heard this. Sounds like DA FUNK is still strong, with quality that instantly overshadows, sweeps and puts in a garbage bag today’s “radio” music.
A great instrumental and a great golden era voice from Charles Bradley, who saw the legendary James Brown perfomance at Apollo Theater in 1962 and became so inspired he began to practice mimicking Brown‘s style of singing and stage mannerisms at home. He’s active since 1965, released 3 albums and about a dozen singles.
Ain’t It A Sin is released on Changes / Aint’ It A Sin single in 2013 and appears on his new 2016 Funk/Soul album Changes.
