Founded in The Bronx by Kool Keith in 1984, the group also included Ced Gee, TR Love & Moe Love. While Kool Keith would go on to be the group’s breakout star, the Mr Bongo reissues act as a showcase for the whole collective. With their innovative rap styles, adventurous and wide-ranging subject matter, incorporation of melody into hard-edged beats, they are rightly considered one of THE legendary groups of a legendary age for Hip-Hop.
