The Wurxs Feat. Peedi Crakk – No Ordinary
Over the past several decades, Philadelphia has been known to birth some of the world’s most coveted soul-filled music. The legacy is sure to continue with the introduction of West Philadelphia bred, self-produced emcees, The Wurxs. Comprised of cousins G Moolah and Trons, the super group borrows its range of melodic influences from Rick James, Gil Scott Heron and Janko Nilovic to the Neptunes and 36 Mafia. The result creates a “basement soul” sound, sprinkled with a mix of brutally honest and with laced aspirational lyrics. Recent collaborations with Black Thought, Money Making Jam Boys, and Asher Roth have further cemented the Wurxs imprint on the Philadelphia music scene.
