The Story of Combat Jack, Hip-Hop’s Flagship Podcaster
Vulture released an overview of the life and last moments of Hip-Hop’s flagship podcaster Combat Jack.
Reggie Ossé, better known as Combat Jack, lost his fight against cancer last December. He started as a lawyer in the early 90s in Def Jam, became managing editor of The Source, later on worked as a blogger under the pseudonym Combat Jack, then used the name as a podcaster in 2010. Combat Jack helped shape the careers of many, his Combat Jack Show became an institution in the early podcast days and has an archive of 450 episodes. His death was a huge loss for the Hip-Hop community and caused a lot of reactions coming forth to pay tribute to the great Combat Jack.
