The 25 greatest Organized Noize songs of all time

Atlanta hip-hop has seen many changes over the past 25 years—from bass and crunk to snap and the trap—but it was the vision and very different aesthetic of Organized Noize that really put the city’s sound on the map. Rico Wade, Ray Murray and Patrick “Sleepy” Brown formed Organized Noize Productions in Rico’s mother’s basement (“The Dungeon”) in the early ’90s, where they spent their formative years grooming and crafting the classic early LPs of Dungeon Family affiliates Outkast and Goodie Mob. Those records were organic, spiritual, somber and very Southern, but the years that followed saw them widen their sound and appeal, crafting everything from radio hits for TLC and En Vogue to underground bangers for UGK and Killer Mike. With their much-deserved recognition at this year’s Hip Hop Honors, Complex decided to create a beginner’s guide to Organized Noize by counting down their 25 essential tracks…
