R.I.P. Father Shaheed of Poor Righteous Teachers
DJ Father Shaheed, spin doctor of the conscious act Poor Righteous Teachers, has died suddenly from a motorcycle accident. Various rappers mourned the death of the seminal DJ/producer, who came to rise in the late 1980’s with the Trenton, NJ-based rap crew.
Poor Righteous Teachers became prominent on after their hit record “Rock Dis Funky Joint” caught ablaze in the streets and in other outlets nationwide. The group was inspired by the teachings of the 5-Percent Nation of Gods and Earths.
