Questlove to Direct Earth, Wind & Fire Documentary
Questlove will direct a new Earth, Wind & Fire documentary, exploring the band’s lasting legacy, cultural impact, and body of work. The Grammy- and Oscar-winning filmmaker will have exclusive access to the band’s archives, with support from the estate of Maurice White and the band.
Questlove expressed his excitement, calling the project an opportunity to preserve the band’s powerful story of soul, self, and struggle. Band members Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Ralph Johnson are also thrilled to collaborate with Questlove.
The documentary will be produced by Questlove, RadicalMedia’s Dave Sirulnick, KB White, Arron Saxe, and others, with FIFTH SEASON financing the project. Earth, Wind & Fire’s enduring career has made them one of the most successful pop bands, with over 90 million records sold and six Grammys.
