Public Enemy Feat. NME SUN – Beyond Trayvon
Exactly one year today, a young black kid wearing a hoodie named Trayvon Martin was wrongfully shot and killed by a man with hate in his heart.
And Public Enemy decided to pay tribute to Trayvon’s memory with this cut from their The Evil Empire of Everything album called, “Beyond Trayvon,” a title that iterates how the 17-year old teenager’s death was no isolated incident, but in fact, something of societal significance: the ignorance cultivated from racism.
