Project Blitz Owner Sues Nike and L.A.P.D.
Andre Ljuština, owner of the high-profile sneaker & streetwear retail brand, Project Blitz, has found himself in a significant predicament. He’s been accused of participating in a scheme designed to unlawfully acquire unreleased Nike shoe models. The accusation resulted in a raid on his L.A. warehouse and seizure of several million dollars worth of merchandise, nearly two years ago. Now, Andre has decided to strike back against his accusers. He’s filed a suit against Nike, the L.A.P.D., the city of Los Angeles, and several Nike employees and police detectives in federal court in California, looking to set the situation right.
Andre is a Croatian native who moved to the U.S.A. at a young age. An avid sneakerhead and a long-time member of the sneaker community, he founded Project Blitz in 2012. Since then, he’s grown the brand into a multi-million dollar business. His collection includes rarities such as one of only four signed Air Jordan models that Michael Jordan wore while filming Space Jam. Project Blitz’s clientele includes high-profile personas from the world of music, sports, and more. Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Drake are only some of the celebrities who have made purchases at Project Blitz.
Blackout Hip Hop salutes our brother Dre and wishes him best of luck.
