Venezuelan hip-hop legend Nk Profeta opens 2025 with some serious tribal vibes, both instrumentally and lyrically, with the track “INDÍGENA” that travels all the way back to 1498.

With the help of artificial intelligence and two aborigines of the Pemón ethnic group, the created video is recreating the Canaima National Park how it looked in the times of colonization. It is said it’s Profeta‘s first music video that’s completely AI-generated, but with more control to realistically show beautiful landscapes and fauna of old Venezuela, along with its aboriginal. As the video progresses, it shows the arrival of the colonizers and the evil they brought with them.
Accompanied by Profeta‘s slow, but on-point lyrics and tribal-like instrumental done by DJ Ortiz, the whole vibe convincingly follows the further happenings on the video, which leads to the explanation why many people, including Profeta, disagree with the fact their national park, a world heritage site, is called ‘Canaima’ because of its negative conotation.

The song with the video holds a strong historian narrative combined with a folk legend, but sends out a concrete message to the world by a Venezuelan dweller to preserve a true meaning of what they consider holy. The creativity on all three sides is really well-done, giving you that ‘ancient’ feeling while analyzing the track as a whole, as well as their concerns over important domestic topics.
