LAPD Involved In The Notorious B.I.G. Murder?

The inspiration for Denzel Washington’s Det. Alonzo Harris character in Training Day, Rafael Perez and fellow LAPD dirty cop David Mack – two of the key figures in the Rampart Scandal – have long been fingered as co-conspirators in Big’s murder. While serving 5 years after cutting a deal for stealing 6 lbs of cocaine from an evidence room, Perez allegedly confided to his cell mate that he was working security at the Petersen Automotive Museum on Wilshire Boulevard for Death Row the night of Big’s death while on duty and called Mack via cell phone to let him know Biggie’s whereabouts. The cellie then made authorities privy to his findings and now this information is being made public in hopes new information comes forth.
