Gasface: Think B.I.G. #1

Gasface is back with Think B.I.G., their new mini-series documenting some of the Hip-Hop’s most notable people who have impacted the culture. In their first episode, they talk to legendary photographer Chi Modu, who shot some photographs for The Source magazine in the days of The Notorious B.I.G. and 2pac. He tells a few stories and explains his style of photography and why he liked to move the way he did.

He calls himself a documentarian and always liked to simplify things and take pictures in the moment, rather than over-stylizing. He says that’s why his photographs remain timeless, even after decades of them being shot. Modu truly has amazing work.
