Fat Beats Celebrated 30th Anniversary
Fat Beats, a cornerstone of hip-hop culture, celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special event at Racket NYC. Founded in 1994 by DJ Jab (Joseph Abajian), it began as a Manhattan record store and quickly became a hub for underground hip-hop, DJs, and producers, playing a key role in the growth of independent hip-hop. The celebration featured a legendary lineup, including Da Beatminerz, J-Live, A-Trak, Masta Ace & Marco Polo, DJ Premier, Talib Kweli & Rawls, Sadat X and more.
