Elzhi & Oh No – Bishop
Detroit rap savant Elzhi recently unleashed the new album Heavy Vibrato, entirely produced by acclaimed California beatsmith Oh No. Now, the former Slum Village member is back with a new music video for the album’s latest single “Bishop”. Showcasing Elzhi’s storytelling genius, the track is a creative reinvention of the classic 1992 film “Juice, told from the perspective of 2pac’s iconic character Bishop rather than protagonist Q (portrayed by Omar Epps). With Oh No supplying an unpredicatable jazz-tinged soundtrack, the video captures Bishop’s volatile energy, remixing Juice footage to follow Elzhi’s revised narrative while paying tribute to a film that remains deeply embedded in hip-hop culture.
Heavy Vibrato is now available worldwide at digital outlets, and was also released on CD and vinyl.
