Dig Of The Day: La La – Into The Night (1984)

Remember this one? A strong classic which serves as a part of a brilliant soundtrack for 1984 cult Hip-Hop movie titled Beat Street, which was filmed in The Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

It’s the first solo single released by R&B vocalist & composer La La. With Mic Murphy (The System), they were members of the short lived band from New York, The Jack Sass Band (also known as Sass), in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She wrote the hit song for the late Whitney Houston titled You Give Good Love.

Apparently, she currently works a professor at York College, City University of New York.
