Dig Of The Day: Funky 4 + 1 – That’s The Joint (Instrumental – 1980)

Back to the real oldschool with Funky 4 + 1 classic That’s The Joint on a instrumental tip. Funky 4 + 1 formed in 1976 in The Bronx, they were the first Hip-Hop group to receive a recording deal, the first Hip-Hop group to have a female MC – Sha Rock – and the first Hip-Hop group to perform live on a national television broadcast. They were active until 1983.

That’s The Joint is released only on vinyl as a single in 1980 on Sugar Hill Records.
