Dig Of The Day: Dr. Dre – The Watcher (1999)
I bet ya’ll haven’t heard this in ages… A great track to begin the best rap album of ’99 and beyond, which was intended to be released as a mixtape, with tracks linked through interludes and turntable effects, but was changed to be set up like a film.
Today we have laid back and super accurate Dre‘s rap over a great, subtle yet memorable instrumental. The Watcher is off Dre‘s truly brilliant 2nd solo release, with a perfect ammount of talented guests, we all heard many times and still do with joy – (Chronic) 2001 – his last release that had super unique quality to it… Not this new sh*t word to the mutha.
Produced by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man
