Dig Of The Day: David Bowie – Fame (1975)
We lost another great musician, who’s influence has been unique in popular culture as he altered many peoples lives. He was an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, painter and actor, who was a figure in popular music for over four decades and was known as an innovator, particularly for his work in the 1970s.
With the Young Americans sessions mostly concluded by late 1974, the material was delayed while Bowie extricated himself from his contract with manager Tony Defries. During this time he was staying in New York where he met John Lennon , which led to a one-day jam session at Electric Lady Studios in January 1975 when the Fame was born.
Backing Vocals – Jean Fineberg, Jean Millington, John Lennon
