Daddy Grace ft. Sadat X – Black Cream (Remix)
Given his mission to deliver grown-man bars for folks who grew up in rap’s Golden Era, it’s only fitting that Daddy Grace (a/k/a Born Allah) has linked with none other than Sadat X for his raw remix of “Black Cream.”
And this is a proper remix of the track off the L.A. veteran emcee’s ‘No Hip Hop For Grown Men’ LP, not a mere “tack on a new feature” remix that the Hip-Hop listening world has grown used to. In its completely revamped form, “Black Cream” now contains a brand-new and funky instrumental from BLDNGBLK, two slick new verses from Daddy Grace, and of course some sharp opening bars from Sadat X.
The raspy Brand Nubian spitter sounds right at home over the upbeat production, kickin’ rhymes and not givin’ a cot damn if listeners are new to his music. Likewise, Daddy Grace takes shots at your favorite rapper and isn’t afraid to own up to his status as a rap vet: “Back when Too $hort was missing his front tooth, I was bangin’ on rappers/ Catchin’ bodies in the booth.”
After you give this remix a spin, go grab Daddy Grace’s ‘No Hip Hop For Grown Men’ LP, which is now available via iTunes and all major digital retailers and streaming services, via Church of Hip Hop & Financial Prosperity.
