D.O. Gibson’s First Children’s Book is Now Available
Veteran Canadian artist, D.O. Gibson, holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest freestyle (8 hours and 45 minutes), released his first children’s book! “The Story of How Young Duane Gibson Stayed Driven” is a semi-autobiographical story about dealing with the challenges of moving to a new town as a child, and finding a sublime outlet in Hip-Hop music. The book’s charming illustration was done by a Nigerian artist, Aminat Mahmoud. Alongside the book, a music video for D.O. Gibson’s children’s song, “Fred the Purple Unicorn” was released.
