Busta Rhymes announces a J Dilla-produced album
We’re getting a new musical reunion between members of the Native Tongues family. Busta Rhymes announced that he dug into his extensive collection of unreleased J Dilla beats, and is preparing a brand new album produced solely by the late, great Jay Dee.
“Dillagence 2” will be the sequel to 2007’s “Dillagence,” which contained appearances by Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Rah Digga, M.O.P., and more. Not much is known about “Dillagence 2,” although it seems the project features a Lil Wayne appearance, which will be the first time we hear Wayne over a Dilla beat.
