Some fresh news are coming from the Netherlands with the ragga-muffin style master BlabberMouf. After some solo albums, and many collaborative ones, the Amsterdam-raised MC is ready for a follow-up, and with a brand new single announces a new studio project dubbed “Da Whole Nine”.

The new single, “Unwind”, dates to the era of Covid-19 back in 2020, as a part of the aforementioned album that already was in the making. In accordance with the quarantine and all what came with it, BlabberMouf had the idea of sharing the positive state of mind with the spliff-in-hand methods, saying we all should unwind as the better days will come. It has been about 4 years since it all has ended, and, luckily, Blabber is still here to entertain us with dope releases such as this one. If you’re already acquainted with his work, you know you can expect dope lyrics, fast-paced flows, and generally, pure dopeness.

The upcoming project, as well as the single, came of the collaboration between Blabber and the producer Ben Jur. As they have been working together a lot in the past, but not on a full studio project, naturally it led them to the idea to finally create such a thing. Almost each and every one of us had a lot of spare time kickin’ back in the quarantine, so many great stuff went out back then, as well as many fantastic, creative ideas were born. I s’pose this album was also influenced by the free time they had in 2020, but it took some years to get its official release date. Even though the single and its message is directed towards the ill era, the same message, combined with the dashing instrumental and reagge-influenced chorus, can be applied even today as we all need to relax sometimes and get away from the modern-era problems.

“Da Whole Nine” is set to be released for November 2025 so better mark you calendars. As the inside info goes, the “Unwind” single will be followed by another one, supported by a music video, some time before the album hits the airwaves. And remember, you heard it here first, exclusively.
