BJ The Chicago Kid ft. Joey Bada$$ & Hannibal Buress – Nothin’ But Love
Heavy D was one of hip hop’s most unheralded heroes, and his tragic passing was nonetheless as impactful as some of his lyrical contemporaries. His music video for Nuttin’ But Love was one of the first rap music videos to feature supermodels (as well as a scene-stealing performance by Chris Tucker), and is known to still get a rise out of parties every now and then.
With his new project, In My Mind, slated to arrive in the Fall, BJ The Chicago Kid samples the song’s memorable hook for the latest single from his forthcoming album. Even better, he gets some help from the Pro Era frontman and one of today’s top comics (who does a spoken-work “outro”) to boot.
