80’s Rap Radio – Rap Attack w/ Slavin Balen (June 1989)

Another dope tape from Slavin Balen‘s “Rap Attack” Radio 101 shows archives from Zagreb. This was June 1989 and Slavin invited DJ Zvonko Kožić (now known as DJ Xed) to come by the show and give away a few tickets for his Sunday “Hip Hop Night” event at club KSET. They were also giving away tickets for a Friday night “101 Press” Rap night that Slavin DJ’d weekly right after his radio show. Zagreb had two Hip-Hop club nights the same week in 1989, WOW! Goran Vlajić (DJ Go Cut) called in the show and got tickets for the party by knowing the name of Stetsasonic’s 1st 12″ single on Tommy Boy. On the show Slavin played Neneh Cherry, Public Enemy, De La Soul, Tone Loc, Stetsasonic, Cash Money & Marvelous, Big Daddy Kane, Derek B, 2 Live Crew… Enjoy this ’89 gem!
